Something is stirring within you
It's been described in many different ways.
For some, it was a powerful moment of spiritual clarity, a soul-piercing text in Scripture, a spoken word, or an experience that you simply cannot deny.
For others, it's been a slow, gradual realization that you are being drawn by the Spirit to devote your life's work to Jesus Christ and His Kingdom.
And here you are, trying to make sense of it all... trying to understand how to respond to God's calling.
LORD, I hear Your call, but what should I do now?
It's one thing to
hear God's call.
It's another thing to know
how to fulfill that call.
So what do we do?
We pray. We immerse ourselves in Scripture. We seek out others to disciple and mentor us. We dive in to church life and fill our days with opportunities for ministry in our community and beyond.
We go to school. We train and enter a field of study that we believe will help us fulfill God's call. Or perhaps we receive God's call during our college years, and we begin looking ahead to what the future might hold. But then we graduate, and once again we ask...
What now, LORD?
Seminary or graduate school? Perhaps take a full-time job? Something else?
Selah... pause... slow down... rest...
Time and again the psalmist says, selah. Stop and take stock of all you have heard and seen and experienced from God.
Believe it or not, it's OK that you don't have it all figured out in your 20's. In fact, it may well be a sign of spiritual maturity, not deficiency, that you're patiently grappling with your next steps in life and ministry. It may be that in moments like these, God has you right where He wants you.
Moments like these are why we created the Thrive Ministry Leadership Residency program for aspiring pastors and ministry leaders.
Thrive Residency is an accredited, integrative, 10-month Christian ministry training program for college graduates who sense that God is calling them into pastoral or non-profit leadership.
Thrive Residency cohorts are comprised of 12 student residents (6 men, 6 women) living in a 6-BR, 2-story home, engaging in a 10-month experience of communal living and learning, ministry training and employment, biblical and theological education, mentoring, community, service, and missions.
...then Thrive Residency
may be a perfect fit for you!
