Graduate-Level Academic Courses
"Instruct the wise, and they will be even wiser. Teach the righteous, and they will learn even more."
Thrive Residency values lifelong development. We always have more room to grow in knowledge, wisdom, and training. That's why we set aside 1-day/week for graduate-level academic courses. We read, discuss, study, and write not merely for a diploma that sits on a wall, but to push one another toward personal, spiritual, leadership, and vocational excellence in Christ.
Residents engage in a classical, roundtable learning environment with experienced, faithful, and relevant professors, pastors, and leaders. Courses and topics include: bible and theology, worldviews, identity and spiritual formation, soul care, social justice and racial issues, pastoral care and counseling, fundraising and development, organizational leadership, ministry best practices, and more!
We are engaged in ongoing conversations with a variety of seminaries and universities in an effort to procure graduate-level credits for completion of our residency coursework. The efforts will continue until we find a suitable academic partner. Until then, rest assured that the rigor and excellence of the academic portion of Thrive Residency will not be contingent on such partnerships.
Academic study matters. But knowledge alone isn't enough. Issues of the heart and processing experiences are integral to our development. Through 1-on-1 mentors and peer groups, Thrive Residents experience deep personal and spiritual transformation.
