Graduate-Level Academic Courses
"Instruct the wise, and they will be even wiser. Teach the righteous, and they will learn even more."
Proverbs 9:9
Thrive Residency values lifelong development. That's why we devote time each week for accredited graduate-level academic and ministry training through a partnership with Southeastern Seminary and Carson-Newman University. Residents earn 18 graduate-level units upon completion of our 10-mo program, giving them a significant head start toward a master's degree.
But Thrive Residency is more than simply acquiring transferable credits for a diploma that hangs on a wall. We read, discuss, study, and write to push one another toward personal, spiritual, leadership, and vocational excellence in Christ. Residents engage in a classical, roundtable learning environment with experienced, faithful, and relevant professors that hail from diverse churches and backgrounds.
Courses and topics include: Bible and theology, worldviews, identity and spiritual formation, soul care, social justice, pastoral care and counseling, fundraising and development, organizational leadership, ministry best practices, and more!
Academic study matters. But knowledge alone isn't enough. Issues of the heart and processing experiences are integral to our development. Through 1-on-1 mentors and peer groups, Thrive Residents experience deep personal and spiritual transformation.
